David began piano lessons at 8 years old spurred on by his older brother who was in a rock band. He graduated with a BA in Jazz Studies and Composition under the tutelage of Rufus Reid, Dave Samuels, Harold Mabern, and Barry Harris. He quickly went on to play and record with BS&T, Luis Perico Ortiz, and the Glenn Miller Big Band. His session work at the time included Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" soundtrack. Session work led him to open his own Marion Recording Studio where he recorded, played on, produced, and engineered the seminal hip hop hit “O.P.P” playing and programming every note on the triple-platinum debut record from Naughty By Nature, followed by Hip Hip Hooray and Poverty’s Paradise, as well as Zhane, Queen Latifah, Uptown Anthem, Michael Jackson's NBN "Scream Remix" as well as Kool and Gang’s single “Never Give Up” which he co wrote with Stacy Wilde. In 1996 he produced not only Daryl Hall’s Solo record “I Can’t Stop Dreaming” but then Hall & Oates’s re-union record “Marigold Sky”.

   He co-wrote and produced Atlantic Recording artists Stacy Wilde’s song “Lie To Me” -HMMA AWARD WINNER which became the Promo song for the FOX hit tv show of the same name, followed by “Change The World” HMMA AWARD WINNER for the hit movie “The Help” trailer.

  At the same time, they were both writing tons of ad spots for Maybelline along with scoring numerous reality tv shows. Disney called for duo to come to Los Angeles and write and score music for a new Disney XD show called “I’m In The Band”, followed by the Emmy-nominated hit show “Dog with A Blog”, where Stacy also whistled the melody for the theme, in addition to numerous shorts and indie films.

   They continue to work and live in LA, releasing numerous projects and building new jazz and production music catalogs.
